B) Regional Procedures

In 2004 a Project Management Group was drawn from all of the North East Area Child Protection Committees (ACPC), Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCB), Police Forces and Strategic Health Authorities in the North East to set up the Regional Procedures Project. The aim of which was to achieve consistency of inter-agency procedures and practice, across the region to safeguard children.

The project finished in May 2005 when, following acceptance by the Group, the documents below were distributed to the North East ACPCs / LSCBs, each of which was then to make local decisions about acceptance, implementation and inter-agency training. Stockton-on-Tees Local Safeguarding Children Board has endorsed the procedures listed below.
