Welcome to the Stockton on Tees Local Safeguarding Children Board (SLSCB) web pages.

SLSCB is the key statutory mechanism for agreeing how the relevant organisations in the borough will co-operate to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in Stockton-on-Tees and for ensuring the effectiveness of what they do.

It is responsible for developing, monitoring and reviewing child protection policies, procedures and practice issues and making sure that training is available to people working with children.

The agencies that make up SLSCB aim to operate transparently and believe it is good practice to make as much information as possible available to the public and its partners. Information and minutes from meetings are therefore available unless it would not be in the public interest to do so or would breach confidentiality.

The work to protect children from abuse and neglect is overseen by the Stockton-on-Tees Local Safeguarding Children Board (SLSCB) however if you have concerns that a child is being abused or neglected, or that they may be at risk of harm, you should contact:
