Certification and Registration of Religious Buildings

If you are a proprietor or trustee of a place of worship, and need to have it registered for worship, or wish to have it registered for the solemnisation of marriages, we will be happy to assist your application here at Stockton Register Office.

Please note: no application can be made until the building is actually in use for worship.

The statutory fees payable to Stockton-on-Tees Register Office are:

Certification of a place of meeting for religious worship: £28.00

Registration of a building for the solemnisation of marriages: £120.00
