April-July 2007- Demolition of Brus and Meynell Houses

August 2007- Construction of new mini roundabout and highways improvements

September 2007- Refurbished bowling hall opens in Pavilion

October 2007- New mini roundabout complete

November 2007- New 70-station gym opens in Pavilion

March 2008- Car Park begins to be constructed

May 2008- Building of St. Peter's House (Block B) commences

June 2008- Vale House (Block A) and Market Cafe (Block D) begin to be built, Car Park opens

September 2008- Building of the Pavilion Kiosk commences

October 2008- Construction of the Taxi Pick-up area begins, Tenants start fitting out new shop units in St. Peter's House (Block B)

November 2008- Market starts trading in newly refurbished St. Peter's Square

November 2008- Local traders relocate from Appleby House to St. Peter's House. First shops start trading from St Peter's House which offers a range of small and medium sized retail units

November 2008 - Thornaby Library closes in order for the refurbishment work to commence

December 2008- Demolition of Appleby House begins

December 2008 - Construction of the Taxi Pick-up area is completed and the new Market Cafe opens

February 2009 - Construction of Vale House (Block A) and the Pavilion Kiosk is completed and the new tenants start to fit-out their new units

February 2009- The demolition of Appleby House finishes, Mitchell Avenue footbridge is demolished, Grace House (Lidl) begins to be built

March 2009 - New shops, inlcuding national retailers New Look, Peacocks, Home Bargains, Grainger Games, Wilkinsons and Bon Marche start trading in Vale House

March 2009- The newly refurbished Pavilion opens complete with modernised cafe, nursery and changing rooms, newly refurbished library opens complete with the Council's first Customer Service Centre

March 2009 - Public Art (The Unity Sphere) is constructed on top of the Market Cafe

25 April 2009 - The Pavilion Shopping Centre is officially opened

May 2009 - The newly refurbished Library and the Council's flagship Customer Service Centre are officially opened

August 2009 - Grace House (Lidl) opens and additional 57 space car park, Town Centre fully open
