Sustainable Community Strategy
The latest Sustainable Community Strategy for the Borough of Stockton puts forward the Community's priorities for the next 13 years. It is produced by the Stockton Renaissance Partnership Board and is the successor to Stockton's Community Plan.
The Sustainable Community Strategy sets out the targets to be achieved through effective partnership working between public and private sector organisations, voluntary and community sector groups, local businesses and the residents of the Borough.
Within the Borough there are still high levels of disadvantage and a wide disparity in need and opportunity for achievement. The key note theme for the Strategy is thus to promote achievement and tackle disadvantage.
The Sustainable Community Strategy focuses on six important areas - the environment; community safety; health; regeneration; education and lifelong learning; and arts and culture. To tackle these, ambitious and challenging programmes have been drawn up, with clear targets to measure our success. By working together, these targets can be achieved and significant improvements made to the lives of local people and businesses.
The Stockton-on-Tees Community Strategy contains a summary of our key priorities and targets. For further information, contact the Comprehensive Performance Assessment team.
