The Council Plan is our three year business plan, updated annually, which shows how we will contribute to delivering the objectives contained within the Sustainable Community Strategy. The Sustainable Community Strategy sets out service priorities for local people to be delivered in partnership with other agencies. Together with the local strategic partnership, the Stockton Renaissance Partnership Board, we have agreed that through the Sustainable Community Strategy we will work together "promoting achievement and tackling disadvantage" throughout the Borough.
The Council Plan sets out in detail how we will provide key services to the public through working effectively with all our partner organisations. The objectives it contains have been carefully selected as those requiring the most significant managerial attention over the next three years, based on:
- The priorities of local people, which we learn about through consultation. In particular we conduct a comprehensive residents' survey every two years.
- Improvement priorities highlighted by the Audit Commission as part of our latest Comprehensive Performance Assessment.
The Council also publishes an Annex to the Council Plan (Best Value Performance Plan) in June each year. This sets out information to show how the Council has been performing in a number of important areas. The latest Annex to the Council Plan can be downloaded below.
