Confidential Reporting Policy (Whistleblowing)

Confidential Reporting (Whistleblowing)

The Council has had a confidential reporting policy in place since August 1998. The current policy applies to the Council's employees and to the employees of organisations with formal contracts with the Council. The aim of the Policy is to enable such employees confidentially to voice any serious concerns they may have over alleged malpractice and alleged wrongdoing.

Officers have been nominated in each services for the purpose of dealing with concerns raised under the Policy.

This web page contains copies of:-

· the current Confidential Reporting Policy

· the Nominated Officers' details

· an analysis of the outcome of the 2006 employees survey regarding the Policy

For a discussion regarding your queries about the Policy, please contact the Director of Law and Democracy.
