The Capital Strategy and Asset Management Plan is an integral part of the Council's planning framework and it has been prepared alongside the Community Strategy and Council Plan. It outlines the Council's approach to planning, prioritising and funding schemes, which will deliver on these priorities.
The Strategy demonstrates that major regeneration is a key Council priority and together with a significant service change agenda, will transform the way many services are provided to the people of the Borough. It also portrays the Council's commitment to working in partnership with a range of public and private sector organisations to generate large-scale inward investment and maximise external funding to achieve the aims for the Borough.
The Council has sought to take an increasingly strategic view of its property assets to ensure that they facilitate the delivery of its ambitious plans. This in turn requires the Authority to make continuous improvements to the management of its property assets.
