Consultation on Revised List of Local Validation Requirements for Planning Applications

The List of Local Validation Requirements tells applicants for planning permission what information is required for their application to be determined by the Council. The Council is consulting all interested parties on revisions which it proposes to make to this list. The revised list can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

The changes made to the List of Local Validation Requirements are intended to reduce ambiguity about what information is required to make a planning application valid and to ensure that the Local Planning Authority has sufficient information to confidently determine planning applications. Making the requirements clear and detailed from the outset will help the Council provide a fast and efficient service.

The List of Local Validation Requirements outlines the proposed revised local validation requirements of planning applications for Stockton on Tees Borough Council. Following consultation and any necessary amendments, these validation requirements will be required to be submitted as part of planning applications with effect from 1 January 2011.

Public consultation for the Local List begins on 6 October 2010 and ends 4.30 pm, 30 November 2010.
