Core Strategy

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council adopted its Core Strategy Development Plan Document (DPD) on 24 March 2010. The Core Strategy DPD sets out the vision and objectives that will underpin all the Council's development plan documents, and sets out the spatial strategy for meeting known and anticipated development requirements to 2024, including the number of dwellings required. It includes a limited range of strategic policies to guide the preparation of more detailed policies in subsequent plans. The DPD is accompanied by a Sustainability Appraisal, an Appropriate Assessment, an Infrastructure Strategy and a Consultation Statement.
