Planning Department
Welcome to Stockton Borough Council's Planning Services.
The Planning section deals with planning applications and associated matters, and also work on the Local Plan and new Local Development Framework, which sets out future planning policies and proposed land uses for the borough. The section aims to provide the best service and to support the Council's objectives to make the Borough a better place to work, learn and live.
There are two main areas of the Planning Section:
- The Development Control Section - planning applications.
- The Spatial Planning Section - (formerly Development Plans Team) - support and guidance to the Council by preparing and adopting Planning policies and supplementary planning documents.
The Planning office is open:
Monday - Thursday 8.30am to 5pm
Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm
Use the links on the left hand side of this page to find information about
all aspects of the planning services. You will also find helpful
information within the Planning Portal
website.
There are also a number of services that are commonly mistaken for planning, but these are partner services. Information about these services may be found elsewhere on the Council's web site by following the links to their pages below.
