There has been intensive work to begin to address the under performance of Parkfield and Mill Lane pupils at primary and secondary schools. Representatives from all sectors including the relevant Head Teachers, Local Education Authority, School Advisors, voluntary sector workers and senior staff from Government Office came together with the NM team and Neighbourhood Renewal Advisors to agree an approach.
It was considered that small-scale initiatives would not have
the required impact on pupil performance and so a large-scale intervention called
'Raising the Performance Level of pupils' was established.
In addition, Neighbourhood Management Pathfinder has undertaken other interventions such as Stars and Young Lives.
