The team has been operational since June 2002 with one officer funded by NM from 2004. They are working with local residents to tackle anti-social behaviour issues such as loud music and rubbish dumping. The team is also working with a Landlord Liaison and Housing Support Officer funded by NM. Casework, including warning letters has been issued regarding Anti-Social Behaviour in the neighbourhood. Individual cases have been followed up successfully; for example, vandalism has been cleaned up by young people. Methods of reporting anti-social behaviour/keeping diary sheets are known by Resident Groups. The Anti-Social Behaviour team attend resident meetings on request and meetings have been held in hot spot areas.
