Pathfinder Learning

One of the core NM principles is that the local community representatives make the decisions about the priorities for action in their area. In order to have an informed and robust dialogue with service providers and an in depth understanding of issues the Parkfield/Mill Lane Pathfinder has developed individual Learning Plans for Board Members.

This has facilitated an improved understanding of the themes within the pathfinder delivery plan and provided a range of
opportunities to learn more about what works in neighbourhood management.

The process has also resulted in a broader understanding within the local community of what neighbourhood management is and how they can get more involved. In some cases residents have been provided with learning opportunities that have enhanced their capacity to become community champions. The Pathfinder continues to look at learning opportunities for all Board members and local residents.
