Tourism Promotions Service

Welcome to Stockton-on-Tees Tourism Promotions Service.

We are dedicated to promoting and developing Stockton-on-Tees as a quality visitor destination. Working very closely with the Tourist Information Centre we endeavour to provide the best possible service to our visitors.
We have also built up very strong sub-regional partnerships with other local authority tourism teams within the Tees Valley. We are part of the Captain Cook Association and the Railway Heritage working groups, both of which are European funded partnership packages that concentrate on promoting collective areas as a holiday destination.

This is a membership led organisation and the area that is promoted stretches from the historic port of Whitby, along miles of heritage coastline, to Hartlepool and then inland along the Tees River towards Middlesbrough and of course Stockton. For more comprehensive details on Captain Cook Country please log onto

www.captaincook.org.uk

If you are interested in becoming a member of the association contact us by telephone or e-mail and we will give you more details on the advantages of being in the Captain Cook Country Tourism Association.

Railway Heritage
Local authorities also fund this partnership as well as European funding and Stockton Tourism plays an active role in the development of this project. It concentrates on promoting the Railway Heritage of County Durham, Sedgefield, Shildon, Darlington and Stockton. If you would like more information on the Railway Heritage Partnership contact us by telephone or e-mail and we will give you more details.

We have also built up a partnership with local tourism based business and hold regular meetings to discuss various issues facing the tourism industry within Stockton-on-Tees and The Tees Valley.

If you have any views or comments about Stockton-on-Tees as a visitor destination then please do not hesitate to contact us by e- mail, phone or in person.
