Sports Development now manage a coach management system for all of the local schools, leisure facilities and clubs in the area. The system will provide a database of details for each coach including relevant and up to date qualifications from National Governing Bodies, Police checks by the Criminal Records Bureau and any relevant courses undertaken by the coach i.e. Child Protection, Equity etc The database has been named COACHWIDE.
The purpose of the coach management system is to ensure a high level of practice and professionalism from each coach registered on the scheme and allows easy access to coaches in the area. The databse is a beneficial tool for schools looking for appropriate coaches, with the peace of mind that all coaches' qualifications have been checked.
In the long term we are hoping to make this system criteria for anyone wishing to coach in the Stockton Borough Council area in order to standardise our service.

If you are a qualified coach in any sport, then why not register with Coachwide? The registration process only takes half an hour of your time. Once registered you will be informed of any up and coming coaching courses, some will be offered FREE, and your details will be given to schools, leisure facilities upon request.
