The role of the Sports Development service is that of an enabler, to assist others in the achievement of their potential. It is by working in partnership with other agencies, such as Sport England, Youth Sports Trust, Tees Valley Sport, local sports clubs and schools we are able to deliver our programmes and initiatives.

Some of the programmes currently being delivered are:

· Club & Coach Awards

· Sports Networking Event

· PE and School Sport Courses

· Coachwide Coaching Support

· Community Sports Coach Scheme

· Programmes to provide every child with access to 2 hours of High Quality PE & School Sport

· Assistance with grant funding bids

· Sportsability

· National Non-Domestic Rate Relief (NNDRR)

· Community Sports Leadership Awards

"We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to reach their potential with their only constraints being interest and ability."

For further information on any of the initiatives or events please contact the Sports Development Team.
