Events

The Leisure and Sports Development Team support and co-ordinate a number of health and sport related events throughout the year, aimed at raising the publics awareness of healthy lifestyles initiatives and sporting opportunites across the borough

Working in partnership with local Sports Clubs, NHS Stockton and other internal and external partners we attend a number of events to promote and encourage more people to lead a more active lifestyle.  Events such as the Stockton Summer Show, The River Tees Week, Change for Life Event and the Stockton Triathlon are a few of the events that we have been involved in

Forthcoming Events

Rugby 7's

Stockton Rugby 7's is open to senior teams at or below National Level 3 and is to be hosted at Stockton Rugby Club on Sunday 2nd May 2010.  There are cup, plate and bowl competitions with cash prizes for winners and entertainment and a BBQ provided.  Stockton 7's offers a competative and entertaining package to teams, with a chance to sample a wide range of nightlife in Stockton.

Golf Week

The Stockton Golf week provides players with an opportunity to play three top class parkland courses in three days.  Players can choose to enter 1, 2 or all 3 days of singles competitions, with the overall winner being determined by the highest aggregate stableford points.  There will also be the opportunity to enter a 4 Ball Better Ball day, which will enable players to enjoy a fun climax to their few days away

The individual stableford competition that forms the 3-day circuit will be held between Wednesday 28th July to Friday 30th July 2010, with the 4 Ball Better Ball competition being held on Saturday 31st July
