Coaching for teachers

A Continuous Professional Development is available for teachers and other adults involved in out-of-school-hours activities, with low-cost access to courses that will enable them to:

  • Refresh and update their information and knowledge
  • Learn about a different sport to broaden their expertise
  • Obtain qualifications.

The courses are open to:

  • All teachers, both PE specialists and non-specialists, who contribute to out-of-school-hours work in mainstream and special schools.
  • Adults who are actively involved in coaching out-of-school-hours sport and have been recommended by their school to attend.
  • Physical education students who are in year three or four of an initial teacher-training course or on a PGCE physical education course.

For details and dates of local courses please contact Sports Development.
