Wellington Square
The £43m Wellington Square shopping development, near Stockton's historic High Street, opened in 2001.
It provides 46 shop units, and a 800 space car park. Anchored by Marks & Spencer and Debenhams, which have all been extensively modernised. Major retailers including, River Island, W H Smith, HMV, Teesside's first H&M, Top Shop, All Sport, Superdrug and Café Nero.
The Wellington Square Centre project was a partnership between Stockton Borough Council and the Wellington Square Development Company, and is now owned by Park Lane Properties.
Car parks
The car park is securely fenced, staffed and lit. Access to and from the new car park for cars is from the new Inner Stockton Relief Road at the junction of Wellington Street, Leeds Street & Nelson Terrace. Pedestrians have several choices for access.
