My Sisters Keeper

My Sisters Keeper

The characters are well defined and believable. I was able to feel sympathy for each of them throughout the story. The plot developed sensitively leaving the reader unable to anticipate the final outcome: which sister would survive and how would the remaining members survive the outcome? The story was absorbing with many highs and lows. The characters were so realistic it was difficult to decide which sister was the most needy. One was able to identify with the turmoil of each of the parents. The ending came as a complete surprise yet upon reflection it was the obvious conclusion. The book was a real page turner. Excellent  5/5

I liked the main character Anna. She was brave and mature for her age. I had great sympathy for her parents and the description of the leukaemia was very detailed. It affected each member of the family in a different way. Kate was the victim on the face of it but all the other family members suffered in their own way. This family needed a happy ending and I was very angry and upset at the twist at the end. The lawyer and the dog were an interesting side plot. I enjoyed the book but was left feeling very sad 5/5

I loved the book and although Kate does not enter as a character in her own right the whole story revolved round her and the complicated relationships between Anna and her parents. The last few chapters were fantastic and by then I was so involved with the sisters that I had to keep stopping to dry my tears 5+/5
