Reading Groups

'Books & Banter' at Stockton Central Library

Join us every Wednesday at Stockton Central Library from 10.30am - 12pm for informative and illustrated talks, topical discussions and guest speakers. Everyone is welcome and refreshments are served.

 

Monday Club at Fairfield Library

Our 'Adults Only' social group is held weekly from 10am - 12pm every Monday morning at Fairfield Library. This is a coffee morning, with new books to view/borrow and Scrabble for anyone interested in joining in a game. We also have an informal quiz at some sessions - nothing too taxing of course - and we have speakers/special events from time to time. Do come and join us.

 

Monday Club at Ingleby Barwick Library

Come along on the first Monday of every month 1:30-2:30pm to discuss books you have enjoyed (or not!), have a cuppa and make new friends - all adults welcome...

Norton Library Wednesday Club

The Library runs a club which offers a talk or slide presentation from a variety of speakers. Talks usually last 1 hour and are followed by tea and refreshments. Attendance is free and open to all. 1st Wednesday of the month at 3pm

 

Family History Club at Roseberry Library, Billingham 
Our Family History Group meets on the first Wednesday of every other month 5 -7 pm. This is a chance to talk and compare notes and experiences with other local genealogists. Occasionally guest speakers talk to the group about different aspects of family history.


Knitting Circle at Roseworth Library

This knitting group meets every Tuesday 10 - 12pm to knit clothes for the premature baby unit as well as stuffed toys for various charities at home and abroad. Everyone welcome - don't forget your needles!

 

Knitting Group at Thornaby Central Library
This Knitting Group meet on the first Friday of every month at 10.00am and have a coffee and a chat whilst making knitted items for many worthwhile charities. Everyone welcome - don't forget your needles! 

 

Coffee Morning for the Widowed at Thornaby Central Library
On the second Monday of the month the National Association of the Widowed
will be holding a coffee morning in the library from 10.30 till 11.30 for people who have been widowed. Please speak to a member of staff for details of the next meeting.

 

Yarm Writers

Come along and join us, read your own work or just listen to our stories and poems. Meetings held every two weeks, please contact the library for dates.
