Stockton Central Library

Stockton Central Library is the largest public library serving the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees and was fully refurbished in 2011. Interior of Stockton Central Library

The ground floor incorporates Stockton Borough Council's Customer Services Centre and Cashiers, the adult lending library and the children's library.

The first floor houses the Reference Library which is the central reference department for the Borough, the Family History Suite, the Computer Suite which offers free internet access and also the 'Starbooks' cafe.

The Library Conference Facilities can be booked for meetings and events.

Access:
Opposite the Library are parking spaces for disabled drivers. There are kerb ramps in front of the library for wheelchairs, then automatic front doors, followed by automatic inner doors. Lift facilities are available up to the first floor. A toilet for disabled users is easily accessible and the back door has a ramp for wheelchair access also.  The Library Conference Facilities have a hearing loop to aid the hearing impaired.
