Choosing a book in Egglescliffe library
Situated at the end of Orchard Estate row of shops and recently developed car park the library is an accessible building. It has an open Children's Library Room and Reference corner with a table to study at. The Library serves both Egglescliffe Village and Eaglescliffe Communities.

Access:
Spacious Library with easy access for wheelchairs from the nearby car parks. The Library also has a lowered counter to help wheelchair users.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 10.00 am - 7.00 pm
Wednesday: Closed
Saturday: 10.00 am - 12.30 pm
NB Closes 12.30 - 1.30 pm daily

Services:

All libraries have:
Adult, Teenage and Children's Fiction (Story) and Non-Fiction (Fact) Books; Large Print Books; a Core Reference Collection and a Core Local History Collection

All libraries also have access to:
CD-ROMs; Ethnic Books (some dual language books), Ethnic Music CDs and Cassettes plus Videos; Language Courses; Music Cassettes; Open Learning Courses and Sub-titled Videos for the Deaf and Children's Videos; Adult/Junior DVDs and Playstation 2 Games.

In addition, Egglescliffe Library has:

  • Audio material including Talking Books for Adults and Children's and Teenager's Story Tapes, Junior Videos and DVD's.
  • Car Park: Small car park available for staff use at the back of the library and a large public car park in front.
  • CD-ROMs for children for use on the library PC only. There is no charge for use.
    Black & White printing is 10p per copy or free if in connection with school homework.
  • Display Case: We have a display case that is 5ft by 3ft. It is free to display work but 20% commission is charged on items that are sold. Please contact the library in advance if you wish to use the case.
  • Goods for Sale: Floppy discs 59p; Envelopes 7p; Plastic Wallets 6p; Pens 29p
  • Internet - FREE!! Please book a session (up to an hour) and if no one else wants to use the PC you may stay for longer. Access for job seekers remains free and unlimited but please book too. To book a PC contact the library on 01642 527958 or e-mail the address shown. To use the Internet in any Stockton Borough Library / OTC you are required to read, sign and abide by our acceptable use policy.
  • Junior Video Collection
  • Microsoft Office facilities [MS Office] - Word (word processing); Access (databases); Excel (spreadsheets); Powerpoint (presentations): No charge except for printouts: Black & White 10p, Black & White CVs, job seeking letters etc. 5p per sheet if unwaged.
  • Scanner
  • A small Magazine Swap Box
  • Newspapers
  • Photocopier: A4 10p per sheet; A3 20p per sheet; CVs, Job seeking letters etc. 5p per sheet if unwaged.
  • Screen printouts from Library system PC's: 10p per page.
  • Theatre tickets booking facility: Forum Theatre, Billingham - No extra charge made to book through Libraries.
    We also sell tickets for Local Amateur Dramatics Groups
  • Webcam Free of charge but please book a session (up to an hour) and if no one else wants to use the PC you may stay for longer.
