Stockton Borough Libraries are targeting new library members and working to improve services to families with young children, with the help of Sure Start Stockton-on-Tees. Sure Start Stockton-on-Tees is working to improve the health and well-being of families and children in the Borough and to give children the best start in life.
Sure Start Stockton-on-Tees has been working together with Stockton Borough Libraries to encourage parents and children into their local libraries to learn to enjoy books and reading. This has already generated over 1,300 new library registrations through initiatives such as events targeted at under 5s, outreach work and book loan schemes at local parent and toddler groups and nurseries.
