From One Reader to Another

'From One Reader to Another' is a book display featuring a collection of ten poetry books which have been chosen by 30 library reading groups across the country. The books span the Faber poetry list - classic titles, new collections, anthologies, and male and female poets.

The display of titles is currently available at Egglescliffe Library

'A happy random pick and mix.' Belper Bookchat

3. Out of Fashion edited by Carol Ann Duffy

4. Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats by T. S. Eliot
'One of my favourite poetry books. I loved it as a child and still do. Descriptive and funny and absorbing and the illustrations are great.' C Manson, Pinner Reading Group

5. Here to Eternity edited by Andrew Motion
'An original idea to showcase poetry of all sorts: wonderful both to dip in and out of and also to ponder on.' Ashton Readers Group

6. Making Cocoa for Kingsley Amis by Wendy Cope
'Wendy Cope's wonderful sense of humour is appreciated by men and women alike. This book is one we all wanted to keep.' North Walsham Reading Group

7. Emergency Kit edited by Jo Shapcott and Matthew Sweeney

10. Tell Me the Truth About Love by W. H. Auden
'Romantic poems - they rhymed and flowed. I love them.' Gail, Solihull Readers Group
