Youth Matters! - Find out what happened when Stockton Councillors met young people like you!
A total of 67 people including young people, support workers, youth workers, teachers, Council Members and Stockton Borough Council workers arrived at Arc in Stockton on Saturday 1st October 2005 for a morning of activities and workshops.
The event was designed to find out young people's views on the Government's Green Paper, 'Youth Matters', which gives ideas on how young people's services should be developed. As well as this event, young people from across Stockton also had their say through questionnaires which could be exchanged for tickets for EzeeLive at Zanzibar that afternoon.

On 1st October 2005, the views of young people got heard. Councillors from across the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees listened to what we had to say.
The workshop was led by me and four other young people; Tom Pitt, Nikki Wallace, Stacey Bulmer and Kathryn Ennion. Councillor Alex Cunningham also presented in the workshop.
There were lots of activities designed to see the views of both sides of the group. The aim of the activities was to see if the views of Councillors and young people differ and if so, how they differ.
One Stockton Youth Assembly Member said: "It was great to see the views from both sides on arising issues in our area."
