Conyers Youth Club runs from week to week from Layfield Community Centre and follows a structured programme, which is devised with full input from all of the young people and staff. The programme is evenly worked out to include some informative and issue based work, trips out (which usually goes to a vote), competitions, quizes and, weather permitting, outdoor sports.
The facilities are used for table tennis, pool and a tuck shop giving access to other parts of centre displaying other work and displays produced by both the members and staff. Other activities include playstation, TV and video.
The staff and members are updating and reviewing the centre's programme on regular bases, however to find what is currently going on please go to the contact link for more details.
The work is about social education to help young people in their personal development and promote equality to the vibriant members of the centre................so any young person of secondary school is more than welcome to attend.Year 8 can attend on Monday evening and Year 7 and below can attend on a Tuesday evening.
