Stockton Youth Assembly (previously called X & Why?) meets every month to feedback on subgroups, make decisions, solve problems and discuss future and current projects. It's a respected mechanism for getting young people's views and Stockton Youth Assembly is listened to, its views are taken on board and acted upon where appropriate. Simon Keay is the current Chair voted in by Stockton Youth Assembly Members.
Stockton Youth Assembly can apply for funding for various young people led projects. Projects can be as creative as you are from history to music and dance!
There are two types of meeting. One is open to the public including Councillors and the other one is for Stockton Youth Assembly Members, other young people and adult support workers only. ALL young people are welcome to come along to ALL meetings and ALL young people are welcome to join Stockton Youth Assembly. This means that you could come to all meetings and have your say on the things that affect your everyday life.
The meetings take place either every second Tuesday or every second Sunday of the month and you can download a full list of meeting times from the bottom of this page.
You can see what's been happening in Stockton Youth Assembly by looking at the minutes (a record of what was said and done in meetings) which can also be downloaded at the bottom of the page.
