Ensembles -Make music with others
Opportunities to make music with others - advice for young people and their parents
Whether you want to play an instrument or sing, whether you have only
recently started playing or are more advanced, there are opportunities for
you to join with others of a similar standard and
if you are already registered with the TVMS, this opportunity
is FREE!
Making music with others can be a little scary to start with but remember everyone feels the same at the beginning. You will soon make friends and before you know it will be performing in your first concert. This really is the fun part of music!
If you practise hard you may become good enough to join the more advanced ensembles. The best players and singers become members of the Tees Valley Ensembles where they have many more performance opportunities as well as being able to take part in foreign tours.
Occasionally special events are arranged to give young people opportunities to make music in new groupings.
Opportunities for those who play an instrument
Bands and Orchestras are organised through the District Music Centres.
