The LA is responsible for providing Home to School Transport under certain conditions, there is a copy of the Stockton on Tees Home to School Transport Policy below. The Community Transport Service is responsible for organising Home to School Transport as well as some adult transport services and they can be contacted on (01642) 527117. Please give them a ring if you think you may be eligible for free transport.

There has been a change in the law and there is now new entitlement for free school transport for parents on low incomes which came into force for all Primary aged children in September 2007 and for Secondary age pupils in September 2008. Below is a leaflet which explains the changes.
You can also look at a copy of the Guide for Parents and print an application form to apply. This needs to be returned no later than Friday 13 June 2008.
Sustainable Transport Strategy
The LA is required to publish a Sustainable Transport Strategy which will give information to parents on the type of transport available within this Borough. Attached below is the Stockton on Tees published Strategy for 2008 together with an action plan.
