Primary school admissions

The yearly intake for primary school is September.

When will your child start primary school?

If your child is born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008, he or she will be due to start Primary school in September 2012.

If your child currently attends a school nursery, you should receive a primary school letter in November. 

If your child attends a private nursery, please contact us to register your child's details.

All residents of the Stockton-on-Tees borough will need to apply for a school place for September 2012 through Stockton Council - whether your preferred school is within Stockton-on-Tees or in another borough.

Some useful dates for primary school applications

14  November 2011 - letters and supporting information available for parents                     

15 January 2012 - closing date for online and postal primary school applications. Primary school applications received by post after this date will be logged as a 'late application' and will not be processed until we have allocated places to applications submitted on time.

13 April 2012 - decision letters sent out to parents (second-class post) - if you apply online you will receive an e-mail. 

June 2012 - appeal hearings will be heard
