BSF schools

The Borough of Stockton-on-Tees is divided into two areas for BSF.  The Government placed these areas in an order of priority based on educational and social need. Billingham, Stockton and Thornaby are in Wave 6 with construction on the first schools expected to start in June 2011. The Government has not yet included the schools in the South of the Borough in the BSF programme.  They have been allocated 64th place in the first list of national follow on projects, however we have not received any indication about the timescales relating to this list.  The full list can be found by following the BSF Teachernet link below.

The pages in this section of the website describe the current proposals for each school.  However, the organisation selected to design, build and maintain the schools may suggest alternatives which could provide even better opportunities for our young people.  At a later stage the designs will be developed in detail and pupils, parents, teachers, school staff, governors, community members and local residents will all be involved in this process.
