Teenage Pregnancy Partnership

Stockton Teenage Pregnancy Partnership is part of a national strategy and aims to reduce teenage pregnancy rates, provide support for young people who are already parents.

The Teenage Pregnancy Partnership will:

  • Provide sex and relationship education in schools
  • Provide contraceptive and sexual health advice and services young people can easily access, including emergency contraception
  • Provide specialist services for young people who need extra help

Through the Strategy, education and services are provided and supported by a variety of voluntary and statutory agencies.

The Teenage Pregnancy Partnership offers a wide range of services including:

Sex and relationship education in schools

  • Sex and relationship education to other groups who need extra help
  • Contraceptive services for young people
  • Emergency contraceptive services for young people
  • Advice and support in school from school nurses
