Continuous Professional Development (CPD) For School Based Employees

Stockton-on-Tees Local Authority is committed to facilitating first-rate professional development opportunities that make an impact on the quality of teaching and learning in schools.  The CPD programme recognises the need to ensure that all employees have opportunities to improve their skills and knowledge enabling them to perform their role to the maximum effect for the benefit of children, young people and their families.

Stockton CPD Programme is available to all school staff throughout the year. This website provides information on courses, workshops and seminars run by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council for the school workforce.

For information on Stockton-on-Tees Professional Learning Framework, HLTA and Performance Management please visit the Continuing Professional Development for School Workforce area within Stockton Its Learning.  If you do not already possess a log in ID and password to access Its Learning you will need to speak to your school ICT Co-ordinator or Administrator.

Our programme reflects areas of priority and expertise that have been identified. In publishing the programme for the year we are recognising your need for information to support your planning. You will receive regular updates to keep you informed throughout the year.

Venues
Most of our CPD courses will be based at the Education Centre, Norton. Schools may also wish to use the accommodation for Professional Development Days or other meetings and may book rooms, according to availability. Room charges are available upon request from the Education Centre Administration Team on 01642 526461.
