City Learning Centres and Specialist Education Facilities
Stockton-on-Tees has two City Learning Centres situated in Billingham and Grangefield, Stockton.
The City Learning Centres are part of the DfES's Excellence in Cities strategy for improving educational standards in urban areas. It is a state of the art ICT facility. It is charged with raising standards in learning at KS3 and 4 mainly but also has a role to play in educating adults in the local community and improving their employability.
