Are you an employer looking for a new employee?
Stockton Borough Council Training and Employment Services may just have the person you are looking for.
We can arrange for you to interview our jobseekers and if suitable you will have the opportunity to take them on a short work trial or placement before deciding if you wish to employ them.
Stockton Borough Council Training and Employment Services have, since 1998, worked closely with Jobcentre Plus and the Learning and Skills Council. We deliver training programmes to young people on behalf of the Learning and Skills Council, and to adults on behalf of Jobcentre Plus.
The aim of the adult programmes are to help local unemployed people return to work, offering them work experience placements, help with job searching and personal development and a range of support. We presently work with over 480 employers within the Tees Valley and we would be interested to hear from other companies who would be willing to support our jobseekers by offering work placements or employment if they reach the criteria you are looking for. Our learners are aware there is no guarantee of employment while on placement.
Our training programmes last for a period of 13 and 26 weeks and work placements are generally for up to 32 hours per week excluding one day in our centre for job search and development support. In most cases when you employ our learners, we will arrange a subsidy of £1950 towards their employment and training costs, this is initiated from day one of the employment.
