Neighbourhood learning in deprived communities
The aim of NLDC is to implement a programme of learning activities in partnership with local voluntary and community organisations that will encourage local residents:
To develop the range of skills and knowledge that will facilitate them being able to take an active role in their neighbourhood and improve the quality of their lives and the community in which they live.
To provide them with transferable skills and access to good quality IAG that will prepare adults from disadvantaged areas for sustainable employment.
To access a range of innovative first step short courses and individual support in local centres
