Small group instrumental tuition, is offered to all primary and secondary and special schools. The TVMS also provides a range of support options for curriculum music as well as offering primary schools whole class instrumental tuition through the Wider Opportunities projects.
Schools can also purchase (subject to availability) additional instrumental teaching or for a specialist teacher to lead a choir or instrumental ensemble in their school. Primary schools can purchase Curriculum Delivery for music.
Specialist curriculum support is delivered through the Curriculum Services Faculty Team which provides support and advice for both primary and secondary class teachers, as well as support for special schools music and Music ICT.
There is a comprehensive CPD programme for Primary teachers which includes the popular "Snappy Music" twilight courses.
The Primary Enrichment programme delivers over 400 workshop and ensemble visits each year. The latter give pupils the opportunity to hear a full range of instruments played live in their own school.
The Secondary Enrichment programme offers a range of pupil workshops opportunities which are both school based and at the TVMS centre
Joint school performance opportunities are offered from time to time including the bi-annual Primary Christmas Musicals which take place in all of the four boroughs covered by TVMS and regularly involve in excess of 3000 pupils.
