Letting and management agents can join a voluntary scheme under NALS - The National Approved Letting Scheme while individual landlords can join Stockton Council's Landlord Accreditation Scheme.  

If you make sure your landlord or agent are part of one of these schemes, you can be assured that their property and management standards have been verified and therefore, you can have peace of mind knowing that the likelihood of them being a reputable landlord or agent is greatly increased.
