Private Sector Housing Councillors' Handbook

The newest edition of LACORS' Private Sector Housing Councillor Handbook has been released.

This 2nd edition of the handbook has been updated in the context of the economic downturn and the specific problems relating to the housing market. Within the handbook, there is a checklist for Councillors to gauge how effectively their Council is dealing with private sector housing issues, several case studies from around the country and snippets of information about what is happening in the private rented sector.

The Councillor handbook gives details about the role of the landlords, tenants and the community, identifies the national strategy and policy links - including a new national indicator set - and gives useful contact details.
