We respond to requests for service from tenants who are concerned about their living accommodation. We also provide advice to landlords to improve living conditions and encourage higher standards of management within the private rented sector.

If you feel your home is in disrepair or unsafe, we will visit and carry out an inspection. If we feel that your housing conditions should be improved we will work with your landlord to achieve this. Firstly we may telephone or write to your landlord informing him of any problems found and request that they carry out works within a reasonable timescale. If the conditions are not improved within the specified timescale then legal notices may be served on your landlord.

We will try to keep you informed of the progress we are making at all stages of the process.
