We have a small team of Officers who can offer advice and assistance to people who are concerned or affected by empty homes.  In addition, we provide advice and information to owners about how to bring their property back into use.  This includes advice about renting, selling, including putting owners in contact with potential investors, and also about the Councils' Landlord Accreditation, Landlord Liaison and Bond Guarantee Schemes.  

The Council keeps a list of empty homes that it is aware of.  However, there will be some empty homes we do not know about.  So if you know of an empty home, please do not hesitate to tell us about it.

The Council has developed and introduced a number of financial assistance products to help owners bring empty homes back into use.  However, this funding is limited and will be provided at the discretion of the Council.
