Equipment Loan Scheme

Photo example of an adaptations ramp In order to speed up the provision of adaptations and to make the funding made available for adaptations go further, we have introduced an equipment loan scheme for ramps and stairlifts.

This means that if you require a stairlift or ramp we can loan these pieces of equipment to you. You have to return these items to us when they are no longer needed but it means you will receive the equipment much quicker than if you had to go through the DFG process which can be extremely complex and time consuming.

You do not need to take up the offer to have a stairlift/ramp installed via the equipment loan scheme. If you would prefer, you can still apply for a Disabled Facilities Grant (see Disabled Facilities Grant in the main menu for more information).
