ANUK/LACORS Landlord Handbook
The Private Sector Housing Division brings you the new landlord handbook produced by ANUK/LACORS.
This new handbook replaces and updates the ANUK/IDeA Model Landlord Development Manual that was issued in 2007 and has proved popular as the basis for much professional development and training within the landlord community.
The manual contains the basic level of knowledge required for a landlord. It includes advice
on:
- Pre-Tenancy
- The Responsibilities and Liabilities of the Landlord/Letting Agent
- Setting Up A Tenancy
- During the Tenancy
- Ending a Tenancy
It is intended to benefit a range of landlords and letting agents. It is not designed to be specific to any locality or for landlords of particular types of properties. It allows for the diversity that exists in the Private Rented Sector (PRS). It relates equally to property standards, management and landlord and tenancy matters.
The Handbook is endorsed by many organisations including:
- Accreditation Network UK
- LACORS
- Association of Tenancy Relations Officers
- Unipol
- National Federation of Residential Landlords
- Residential Landlords Association
- British Property Federation
The full handbook can be downloaded below or using this link www.anuk.org.uk/News/landlordhandbook.asp. Alternatively, you can download each chapter of the handbook separately for easy reference.
Copies of the handbook can be bought for £3.50 each including postage and packaging and can be ordered from Unipol training at www.unipol.org.uk/National/Training/landlordhandbook.asp
Order of 50 copies and over can be purchased at a cost of £2.50 per unit (exclusive of postage and packaging). Call 0113 205 3404 or email conferences@unipol.org.uk for more information.
