Black and Minority Ethnic Housing Strategy 2008-11
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and Tristar Homes Ltd have published a Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) housing strategy. We aim to deliver fair and equitable access to housing services and sometimes it is necessary to undertake additional work to ensure that specific groups in the borough receive appropriate housing and related services.
There are 5 objectives to the strategy:
- Understand the diverse needs of all residents to ensure equality of opportunity and access to housing services
- Increase choice and help achieve housing needs and aspirations
- Improve the condition of existing housing in both the public and private sector
- Address identified community and social needs
- Assist in the provision of safe and sustainable neighbourhoods
The strategy can be downloaded below.
