Endeavour Housing Association

Aspen Gardens Extra Care Scheme

Endeavour Housing Association is developing a wide range of new homes across Hardwick. Over 100 family homes have already been completed and are fully occupied. Additional specialist accommodation has also been developed as detailed below.

New Bungalows

Work has been completed on a fantastic supported housing development of 20 new bungalows on the site of the old 'E' flats, off Easington Road. The two-bedroom properties, built by Koru Property Services Ltd, were completed July 2009. Endeavour Housing, Stockton Council and Tristar Homes have worked together to allocate the new bungalows to residents. All of the properties are wheel chair accessible - with eight of the homes being suitable for people with learning difficulties, six are suitable for those with physical disabilities and six for the over 55s.  The bungalows compliment surrounding one-storey properties.

Aspen Gardens - an award winning development!

Aspen Gardens is Endeavour's £6 million Extra Care Scheme which was developed in partnership with Stockton-On-Tees Borough Council along with Browne Smith Baker architects. The fully occupied development which was completed in Spring 2007 includes a two-storey block of 30 apartments and 20 bungalows. This accommodation is designed for people with care needs and includes a bistro, lounges, hairdressers, I.T. facilities and a hobbies room. The bistro and beauty salon are open to the public and offer a fantastic service to the community around the scheme. Aspen Gardens beat off stiff competition in 2008 to win the Community Benefit category at the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Awards.

Ruskin Court
Ruskin Court, a development of 20 apartments for the over 55s, was completed in January 2008 and is fully occupied. Residents of these apartments can link into the activities and care facilities at Aspen Gardens.
