Choice Based Lettings
Choice Based Lettings is a new scheme which social housing is allocated across Stockton-on-Tees and the Tees Valley.
The scheme is called Compass.
Compass - The Choice Based Lettings scheme changes the way council and a number of registered social landlord properties are allocated in the borough. Rather than just choosing certain areas of preference, people on the Council's Housing Register can now register an interest in an individual property. Choice Based Lettings will increase choice and accessibility of affordable housing.
A group of Councils and registered social landlords has come together to run a Choice Based Lettings scheme which covers the whole of the Tees Valley.
The group includes:
- Stockton Borough Council
- Tristar Homes
- Middlesbrough Council
- Erimus
- Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council
- Coast and Country Housing
- Hartlepool Borough Council
- Housing Hartlepool
- Darlington Borough Council
To find out more information about this scheme take a look at the Compass website.
