Rent to Buy Scheme

The Rent to Buy scheme at Hardwick Green offers people who would like to get on the property ladder the opportunity to rent a brand new property for five years - after which there will be the option to buy your home.

If you go on to purchase the property at the end of the rental period:

You'll receive a 10% deposit towards the purchase (based on today's value)
There will also be the option of an interest and payment free equity loan if you need a little extra help

Properties available on the Rent to Buy scheme

All properties on the scheme are currently occupied; to be added to the waiting list in case a property becomes available in the future, please complete the Affordable Homeownership Register application form.

Rent to Buy in other areas

The Council may consider Rent to Buy schemes in other areas of the Borough in the future. If you would be interested in areas other than Hardwick Green, please contact the Affordable Homeownership team and tell us which areas you would like to live in.
