CCTV

The CCTV control room is based in a state-of art, purpose built surveillance centre in central Stockton, located next to Stockton Police station with direct telephone and video link to Police Headquarters.

We currently monitor Closed Circuit Television Cameras covering the following locations throughout the Borough of Stockton on Tees:

  • 35 fully functional, colour cameras with monochrome switch for improved night vision cover Council pay and display car parks and Stockton High Street;
  • 15 fully functional, colour cameras with monochrome switch for improved night vision cover the Parkfield and Mill Lane area;
  • 3 fully functional and 2 static cameras cover Thornaby Station, all colour cameras with monochrome switch for improved night vision;
  • 3 fully functional, colour cameras cover Swainby Road;
  • 1 fully functional, colour camera covers Parliament Street;
  • 1 fully functional, colour camera covers The Square;
  • 4 fully functional and 1 static camera covers Thornaby Town Centre;
  • 5 fully functional and 3 static cameras cover Billingham Town Centre.


Plus many more covering local businesses, schools and private property.

Stockton Council has a policy of not allowing footage captured  by its CCTV network to be sold to media companies.
